Challenge:
Updating the course -> The audience was previously trained on the system. However, the go-live was pushed so, biggest challenge wasn't the reteach, but the erasing what was taught.
To ensure payroll accuracy and system compliance during a citywide rollout of UKG Ready, over 500 timekeepers and approvers needed to be trained and certified before being granted system access. Without structured onboarding, errors in time management could jeopardize employee pay and disrupt operations.
Solution:
I re-created & created 4 self-paced certification modules in Articulate Rise that guided timekeepers and approvers through every critical task from logging time to managing approvals. It was important to not only rebrand the content, but reteach the course due to go live changes. So, instead of one course, I created 4 courses. The module included interactive walkthroughs, compliance checkpoints, and a scored assessment that users had to pass to unlock UKG system access. Zoom sessions and supplemental job aids were provided for support.
Outcome:
Reteach the new system
Certified 500+ timekeepers and approvers, including new to role & C-suite management, ahead & through go-live.
Achieved record number of by 87% payroll accuracy in the first three week.
Created a repeatable, scalable certification model now used for all new hires in timekeeping roles.
