G-Suite Data Collection and Monitoring Course
G-Suite Data Collection and Monitoring Course
Tools Used: G Suite, Survey Assessment
Role: Instructional Designer, Graphic Designer, Facilitator, Writer
Problem: The client was struggling to get value out of a pre existing educational platform meant to analyze usage and progress data for a school. In practice, teachers were only using it to post homework and assessment announcements, leaving most of its actual capability untouched.
Solution: After conversations and a needs analysis, it became clear teachers needed to understand the full range of what G Suite could offer, along with the plans moving forward around data collection and monitoring student usage. I built an instructor led course that could also be completed independently, so teachers and leaders could return to it as a resource whenever they needed it. The course walked subject matter experts through three tools for collaborative notes, group work, and assessments. Because the audience included both teachers and leadership with a wide range of expertise, I deliberately built it as instructor led rather than fully self contained, some information lived in the facilitation itself, not just the slides. The client also wanted the content shareable across platforms for accessibility, so I made the course adaptable for email, teachers' G Suite accounts, and the company website.
Outcome: The course was both informational and engaging for stakeholders. The needs analysis and feedback process directly addressed the client's concerns, and the final product gave every level of expertise, from new teachers to leadership, a usable entry point into a tool they'd been underutilizing.
